Business Development Manager


This position is responsible for the development of the Symantec Software (Volume) and Security Business within CMS’s customer base. The position will have responsibility for a number of key accounts and will work closely with the office based Telesales staff to deliver sales to target in a corporate culture, which is very entrepreneurial and fast paced. The role requires a motivated person with the ability to identify business leads for Symantec and converting such leads to sales at the level required to meet and exceed specified sales targets.

Reporting to the MD, your key task will be to develop and implement an aggressive sales strategy that will achieve Symantec growth of 20% per year.

The job will be primarily external focused and we would see the role being primarily Dublin based with a requirement to be in Symantec in Ballycoolin on a weekly basis and in CMS in Mayo twice a month and as such requires flexibility in travel.

Responsible for projecting a positive image of both Symantec and CMS, the person will conduct business with integrity and professionalism at all times. The person must be results focused, with the ability to analyse reports, identify and implement the necessary improvements. The person must be dynamic and committed to making a positive difference to the company through the effective management of their set of accounts and by partnering with the rest of the CMS Sales Team.

Skills & Qualifications Required

• The ideal candidate will possess experience in sales, combined with demonstrated experience of successfully exceeding sales targets.
• Understanding of business-to-business relationships would be useful.
• Strong preference for hi-tech background with knowledge of IT sector.
• Appropriate experience using Excel to an advanced level of proficiency, including the use of Pivot Tables.
• Appropriate experience of PowerPoint and the ability to quickly create presentations from multiple data formats.
• Clean driving license.

• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and project management skills.
• Ability to work to and meet targets.
• Professional presentation skills and ability to adequately represent CMS.
