Sales Manager
Reporting to the MD, your key task will be to develop and implement
an aggressive sales strategy that will encompass both structural
and organisational change as well as turnover and profitability
growth of 20% per year. You will develop and deliver the sales
strategy as an integrated element of the strategic plan and
will be accountable for alignment of all sales resources touching
customers to ensure consistent engagement and achievement of
the agreed sales goals (this includes
Revenue, GP, Margin Contribution, Customer breadth and Product
Ranging). The job will be equally split between internal and
external presence and as such requires flexibility in travel.
Skills/Experience:
• Excellent track record of sales and sales management
within the IT industry - either within a manufacturer, a reseller
or a closely aligned business with similar routes to market
• Experience in competing against or working for companies
in the IT market place, coupled with an in-depth knowledge of
the industry, key players and networks
• Experience of leading/contributing to multi-functional
customer facing team
• Demonstrated track record of managing sales growth and
closing deals. Personal characteristics required include:
• The charisma and gravitas to establish credibility and
demonstrate Leadership to Customers and command the interest
of Partners.
• Demonstrate ability to work professionally and pro-actively
with Partner Organisations.
• Strong Communications and Interpersonal Skills that
are effective at all levels, with the ability to build strong
relationships based upon trust. Able to engender more open lines
of communication within the Sales Team.
• A strong Team Player who brings a sense of cohesion
and will use mentoring skills to help develop the capabilities
of the existing team.
• Drive, determination and energy with business acumen
at the highest level.
• Process-driven with good attention to detail, strong
organisation skills and a focused approach.
• Ideally will be educated to a Third Level
