A data management centre based at our premises in North West London, the CMS demonstration facility is equipped with a range of enterprise storage solutions including CD-ROM servers, optical libraries, tape libraries and RAID systems. This unique centre was created in order to provide IT professionals with genuine impartial advice so that they may make informed decisions without pressure or the impracticality of site demonstrations. The facility is installed with competing technologies from competing manufacturers. Storage devices operate attached to a Windows NT network and are controlled by live backup management software, imitating the ‘real’ working environment of the IT manager. Equipped with high performance servers, visitors may bring along their own application software so that they can ensure the systems will integrate into their current or projected environment.
